Welcome. No matter if you are a biology student, an eager interplanetary tourist, or an amateur naturalist, this site is intended as a resource to elucidate the diverse alien faunas that have been discovered so far by the efforts of mankind. For the sake of remaining concise, we will focus on the main, dominant animal groups from each planet, some of which are analogous to the vertebrates of Earth. Each planetary profile (in the navigation bar) is provided with 5 examples of representative fauna. Also to be concise, we focus on planets that have a rich fauna and flora somewhat comparable to earth in diversity.

It should be noted that some other planets host microbial or primitive multi-cellular life, but such places have a much lower diversity than on Earth or more familiar planets. The planet Vermis is an example of one such planet, where the endless algae covered mudflats seethe with segmented worm-like invertebrates.

Important Tip: Roll-over the "MORE" option to select from even more life-bearing planets.
